ITC's "C39" series terminals are manufactured from electrolytic copper tube, annealed to obtain optimum ductility, which is a requirement for the connectors to withstand the mechanical stress occurring during compression.
Furthermore, when vibrations are present, a reliable connection must be guaranteed: the annealing process is vital in preventing cracking or breaking of the terminal between the barrel and the tongue. Oxidation of the terminals is prevented by electrolytical tin plating, and finally the tongue is clearly marked with wire size and die index for the choice of the proper tool. Colored stripes on the barrel serve as a quick indication of the wire or cable size, thus limiting the occurrence of errors.
Series "C39" includes the following models:
- Standard length, one-hole color coded lugs
- Extra-long barrel, one hole color coded lugs
- Extra-long barrel, two hole color coded lugs
- Color coded butt splices
All the above.
